Ayurvedic Elemental/Polarity Reflexology is a foot-focused reflexology approach that combines point-specific reflexology with energetic balancing based on the five elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
In simple terms, the practice works from the idea that the body’s physical and energetic systems are interconnected. Similar to acupuncture, reflexology uses acupressure on the feet in point specfic areas that reflect through the body. Practitioners assess the balance of the five elements and then use specific techniques on corresponding areas of the feet to encourage balance and the free flow of energy.
What makes it different?
Five-element foundation: It incorporates concepts from Ayurvedic traditions, particularly the relationship among Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
Polarity principles: It draws from Polarity therapy, an energy-based system developed by Randolph Stone, which describes the body in terms of energeticrelationships and polarities.
Foot-focused: The feet are considered the body’s most energetically dense or“negative” pole in this framework. Practitioners therefore concentrate their work there, with the intention of releasing energetic stagnation.
Specific reflex points: Pressure or other hands-on techniques are applied to areasof the feet believed, within reflexology theory, to correspond with different organsand body systems.
Broadly adaptable: Practitioners may offer it to people of different ages and with a variety of wellness goals.
Reflexology credentials:
The American Reflexology Board (ARCB), the National Council for Reflexology Educators(NCRE) and the Reflexology Association of America (RAA) have all agreed to adopt the following definition.
“ Reflexology is a protocol of manual techniques, such as thumb and finger- walking, hook and backup and rotating-on-a-point, applied to specific reflex areas predominantly on the feet and hands. These techniques stimulate the complex neural pathways linking body systems, supporting the body’s efforts to function optimally. The effectiveness reflexology is recognized worldwide by various national health institutions and the public at large as a district complementary practice within the holistic health field.”

What Is Reiki?
Developed in Japan in 1921 by Mikao Usui and brought to the United States in 1938, Reiki is a light-touch healing technique that gently facilitates each person’s own ability to find and maintain balance in body, mind, and spirit.
Often known as a deep meditative healing practice. Reiki can serve as a bridge to a deeper connection with yourself and others. The modality is based on the belief that there is an energetic flow in and through all living things. When this energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to feel unwell, stressed, or out of balance.
Ki in Japanese or compared with qi/chi in Chinese traditions. The concept of “moving chi” to bring balance into the body is also the foundation of modalities such as acupuncture, acupressure, tai chi, and qi gong.
A Reiki session is intended to restore this flow of energy, naturally supporting the body’s own innate ability to rediscover wellness.

Relaxation
Migraines, back pain or other discomfort
Anxiety, saddness
Emotional Wellbeing
Chronic pain
Fatigue/insomnia

There are many other reasons people use reiki to support their wellbeing, this list is to give you an idea. It is important to note that Reiki should not take the place of medical treatments. This is a fantastic modality to add to your self-care.
